It's HOT in NY!

Hi everybody, I've discovered the "n" sound! "Na na na!"

Now that I can speak I am just like a real Tatty!Anyways It's hot in NY.
Too hot to play fully dressed.
But it's never too hot to make new friends! Meet Dovi.

I did promise to explain all of my therapies and I do have some new ones but I will have to do that later. Oh, by the way today I rolled from my back to my stomach on my own!

B"H Mendele has achieved sooo much!

In OT and PT we are now working on his rolling, trunk control and the strength in his hands so he should be able to support himself while sitting.

The good news is, more he strenghtens his trunk the less we see his tounge!

In speech we're working on cause and affect and teaching Mendele to pass objects from one hand to the other.

Mendele surprised us and rolled from his back to his stomach!!! In speech Mendele is playing the drums - to learn that his actions have cause an effect.

He has begun to hold his own food and bottles!
And he's still as cute as ever- kein ayin horo!!

Hi again everyone.

The summer is a fun, fun time!

Once I was playing with my mommy...

...and she asked me, "What will you look like when you're 120?"

Well, I did my best to answer:

But seriously, the heat... sometimes I make believe that my bassinet is a surf-board.
whoosh!

Sometimes I make believe mommy's bed is the beach. Of course when you in the sun having fun always remember to drink lots of water!

What's been happening

Mendele's new OT (occupational therapist or fine motor skills) therapist is Juliet. She has, so far, been amazing. Mendele took to her very well, and we've learned many new exercises to work on with him.

Baruch Hashem, Mendele's grasp has improved tremendously. He reaches out and grabs hold of his toys, bottles and anything we put before him!
Mendele rolls over!!!! So far it hasn't been intentional. It's happened a few times as he reaches for things. If you are still upset about the long wait we have just one thing to say:

No offense.

Hello everybody and thank you for your patience. Since I haven't posted in such a long time here is som real good news: Mendele is eating real food!

Mendele went to his cousin's Bat Mitzvah - he seems pretty tickled that he was the only boy there!
